In my November 18, 2006 post, I described that your Russian bride could be found in 1 of 15 possible countries. But in reality, eligible Russian woman can be found all over the world. And as good a place as any to start looking for one is right here in your own country. The facts are that more than 30,000 Russian woman come to America each year, most of them to marry. And according to immigration statistics, marriages to foreign women are roughly 80% successful as opposed to a 50% success rate for domestic marriages. Just working the numbers means that roughly 6,000 Russian women become available each year in America. Sure, some go back to their home country. But they don’t necessarily have to and probably would choose not to after living here for awhile.
There are many advantages to finding in America a Russian woman to marry. I’ll not list them all, just some highlights.
A. There’s an obvious savings in expenses to dating and marrying her here instead of 5,000 to 8,000 miles away. Multiple trips to Russia plus K1 or K3 visa expenses can set you back quite a few thousand dollars.
B. Depending on how long she’s been here, many issues of her adjusting to life here will be non-existent.
C. Again depending on how long she’s been here, your paperwork hassles will be dramatically reduced and possibly even zero.
So, how to find her? First, check around in your local community. If you ask around, you’ll be amazed at how many Russian people are in your local area. See if you can meet some of them and let them know your wishes. They’ll know what’s happening with their Russian friends and may be able to give you leads and references. And besides, if you marry and bring to your home a Russian woman, you’ll be meeting all these people anyway. So you might as well get a jump on reality.
There are many other non-Internet ways to search within the U.S. for a Russian woman. Let your creativity run loose.
But if home-grown methods don’t work or are not your style, then sure, there’s the Internet. One not so obvious place to start is by signing up for a Yahoo! Personals 7 Day FREE Trial offer Even without registering you can do some browsing. Go to advanced search, enter a city and distance from that city. Then scroll down to the language section and select “Russian” and click “must have”. Then scroll to the bottom of the page and click “search”. If you’ve entered a reasonably good-sized city with a large enough surrounding area, you’ll find Russian women.
This simple browsing will give you a sample of what’s available. You’ll need to register to view complete profiles and all photos. And you’re better off signing up for the premier service because that way you’ll see profiles not available on the free or basic subscription.
