Greetings from Gary. I hope that you are well and happy.
I wrote in my November 18, 2006 post that Russian women can be found in any of the 15 countries that comprised the former USSR. Again, those countries are Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Estonia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Russia (officially The Russian Federation), Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan. In addition I’ve described in subsequent posts that you can find one in many other parts of the world as well including in your home country, be it America, Australia, The Netherlands, England or wherever. It will take some creative searching to do that, but it can be done. But if you’re bound and determined to find your Russian bride in Russia, my suggestion is to search specifically in The Russian Federation or in Ukraine. I suggest this for several reasons.
First, Your selection of women to choose from in those 2 countries is huge compared to the selection from all the other countries combined. I haven’t checked the numbers precisely, but I’ll bet the number of women to choose from in just the cities of Moscow or Kiev dwarfs the total for the other countries combined.
Second, if you find a woman in one of the other 13 countries, you’ll quite possibly have difficulty communicating with her either electronically or by surface mail. Many of these countries have very poor infrastructure both for travel and for communications. Even in Russia and Ukraine you’ll find some of these infrastructure problems though things are rapidly improving. But the point is that if you become interested in a woman, you’ll want to start a dialog with her and you won’t be happy being hamstrung by her lack of access to the Internet or reliable telephones or timely surface mail.
Third, after you meet a woman here on the net, you’ll want to travel to her to spend time together. The ability to make convenient travel arrangements is very important. This becomes a critical issue when it comes time to bring her to America. Many of these other 13 countries don’t have direct scheduled air service. Getting to and from can be a challenge. And remember that the regional airlines of most of them do not operate under the strict airline safety and inspection standards required of the major world airlines. If you do go to one of these countries, stick with the major international carriers even though their schedules may be difficult to work with. And most importantly about the topic of travel, check first with the U.S. State Department travel info site for any travel warnings and other things like visa requirements, etc.. Many of these countries have some very uninviting requirements for U.S. citizens visiting their country.
And my last reason for the suggestion to stick with Russia or Ukraine is that the process to get her a K1 visa is fairly straight forward there. I don’t have explicit information about the other countries. Perhaps the process is fast and easy. But I doubt it. I know that some of these countries are reluctant to let people leave and their bureaucrats can easily roadblock your visa process. Look at it this way guys. These countries are all struggling to build their economies. They know that foreign men looking for wives aren’t looking for the old and crippled. No, foreign men are looking for the cream of the crop - - the most healthy, the most educated ones in the prime of their years - - exactly the ones needed to build a country.
So don’t make things hard for yourself. Search for your Russian bride where you have many to choose from, and where communicating with her is relatively easy, and where you can easily travel to be with her, and have as simple a process as possible to bring her to America.
In spite of the length of this post, I still have a couple more tidbits to write about. But I think I’ll have to do this on the installment plan. I’ll cover those tidbits in a couple of days.
Until then, my best to you.
Gary.
